Now & Later: Top Three Transition Pieces

Hello beautiful Blond Geniuses! As much as we hate to admit it, summer has already flown by and the end is near. With that said, it is the perfect time to invest in items that will carry you through the rest of summer into fall – and as always, Blond Genius has you covered.

There is nothing better than finding a versatile piece, so I searched the store high and low to break down my top three transition pieces that you can wear now AND later. Check it out:

Statement #1: Chaser Camo Linen Jersey Tee

I am picky with patterns, but I always find myself falling for fun camo pieces. For summer, I paired it with my Bonnie Relaxed Shorts from AG and Joie Huxleys for an on-the-go look. For some s’mores and bonfire nights, I added an AGOLDE cropped sweatshirt for a simple layered look.IMG_2332

To transition this piece to fall, I added the sassy AGOLDE Madison 70’s Flare and eye-catching Cupcakes and Cashmere jacket. Throw on your black Joie Monte’s and you are set to own any room you walk into.

Statement #2: Ella Moss Jumpsuit

Um, hello. We all know the best thing about jumpsuits is that they are the easiest outfits to make – throw it on you look fabulous without any effort. For summer, I added Yosi Samara sandals, a neutral Blessings in Disguise stack and a classy Eugena Kim Cecily hat to block the sun on the final hot days before fall.IMG_2368

I am super excited about this transition – sweater weather is my favorite! I simply broke up the jumpsuit by adding the comfiest White + Warren Braided Belt Cardigan and my all-time favorite Yosi Samara Wildcat/Natural flats. Wear this look to the office, church or grocery shopping – it is versatile AND simple! IMG_2370

Statement #3: Alice + Olivia Cream & Black Shirt

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t obsessed with this look. Some say flannels aren’t girly, but I beg to differ. I tucked this statement piece into a Seven for All Mankind high waisted denim skirt to break up the bold pattern. To add a little rustic glamour with accessories, I paired together the Joie Elaine heels, the See by Chloe purse and Krewe Du Optic sunglasses.IMG_2410

For the final fall transition, I have untucked the plaid to break up an otherwise all black outfit. Throw on the Alice + Olivia Blazer and David Lerner Coated Classic Legging. This is a perfect outfit for dinner dates because first, it look effortless and second, leggings leave you feeling comfortable after a big meal – it’s a fashionable feast!IMG_2428
